SINDASOX 256
Cut two channels out into the resin with a junior hacksaw about 2mm deep, then in the middle of the resin cut some more channels out, when you have done this carefully remove the old leather collar and then put new collar in place and seal with araldite....Job done. pipa 299
i need a new collar on mine, when you say cut channels out of the back of the resin. do you actually cut a peice out? or just cut groves in it? chris Quote Link to post
The one 8,479
Cut a piece out the collar is stuck to the resin ,so cut it to break the seal then move the collar about and see if it will slide out ,Then slide the new collar in glue it and job done Quote Link to post

pokey 0
What I do is put the collar in a vice not to tight then cut just inside of the collar both sides down to the collar pull out the bit of plastic and the collar shuold come out mix up some arldite and put on the locator where the collar was then seat the new collar into that in the right position then fill in the rest of the locator with the rest of the arldite then smooth the arldite with a wet finger I use a nylon collar when I renew. I hope this helps Quote Link to post
