To be honest it's a piss poor turnout when it seems like folk are trying to undermine the achievements of those dogs who do and have taken big hauls of rabbits in the dales. Lads who will and do run

Are you really that naive that you think rabbits just run at full speed into a stone wall and bounce?   If the grass is short, grazed down by sheep the rabbits are fast even in a stone wall fields.

well there isn't any rabbits with in that distance... come try it Jim and find out for yourself... I have no reason to lie have i??   you should maybe get down from you pedestal jim and listen to wh

jims dogs are not piss poor beleive me , far from it bit of jeleousy flying everywer i think

Didn't say the dogs mate..i said the bunnies..i know Jim get's out and does more than most..just he said he catches 9/10 bunnies he runs in Norfolk and his dog is no world beater his words not mine..so i just think the rabbits can be no big shakes down there either? ATB Andy. ;)

I think it's always been common knowledge a Dale rabbit due to the terrian there on is an easier bunny but that doesn't take away the fact the effort that has to be put in by man and dog to get a big number of rabbits like they do. People don't realise how fit man and dog need to be to put a shift in like that regular. It takes a special dog and man to keep it up.

Jim as i have said on numerous threads throughout the year more so on OFTP i have not really had the time to head down South and trawl around Norfolk after a few bunnies..i've had and got other far more important things to do in my life that come way infront of chasing a few poxy bunnies around, just this past week my daughter has been in hospital lying in an oxygen tent so the dogs have had to take a back seat and with having youngsters and plenty of em there's always summat as those with kids could vouch for lol. There ain't too much i have on a list of "still to do" when it comes to working lurchers and i'd not be fecked if i never ran a bunny in Norfolk in my life...i'll never say never though as things and times change but just at this time it's not at the top of my list...last season was difficult as myself and my lad were banned from keeping running dogs after our exploits North of the Border..thanks for the invite but this season atleast i'll have to say no..next season? Who knows? ATB Andy. ;)

good point that, just thinking about that . The type of dog to do that kind of work, yes needs good stamina . But it needs the mental attitude , to keep running 20-40 runs. And some colliexs will only do what they want (not) what you want, dogs like these with good brain will call the shots. Bryn will when fit as got big bags, but when he as had enough thats it , either 15 hard runs or 30 eaiser runs. Its one thing that puts me off colliexs, to much brain at times. Bryn as always ran well never stalked or etc ..... , but somtimes you whish they would push that bit harder .? Tod my bullx grey will give that extra, and would kill him self if you didnt stop him, as good stamina for his x but not a out and out rabbit dog. If you could get somthing in the middle prob end up with a good rabbit dog
