Strong Stuff 2,171
I didnt realise lurcher 1 was being smartie pants as I have already said I have used both Jim and Arrons slips ,collars and couples all I will say is I have had stuff from blackdog that the dog has outlived but Arrons stuff has out lived the dog and that says it all for me i wasn't.. just saying bdt makes the best stuff IMO!! and this thread aint even about collars so not sure why strong stuff said anything?? glyn jones is another the op could try for double slips or indeed strong stuff if he makes them?? I posted on here, to point the lad asking the question in the right direction, I didn't throw my own name in the hat. I mentioned collars, as you were saying that BD makes the best gear, I thought that ironic as he bought a collar off me for his own dog, so in my opinion even BDT doesn't think his gear is good enough for his own dog! If you look back at how and where you posted, you posted after lads mentioned my name and the inference I drew from that was that you were suggesting that I didn't know my stuff with dogs, I'd say that if you can find anyone else who has had his gear tested harder than mine you'd be on another planet ............. although, that is always possible. As it goes, your post has just made me look at BDT site, and he's now copying they way I make my collars too! That will be the third company to do that this week. stewie 3,387
well how would i know if you do know your dogs or not?? i do know you know some good lads with lurchers and you spend slot of time on here so id imagine you know abit lol i meant the mass produced gear some sell is rubbish if your buying any hunting equipment it needs to be off a person who has experience in the field and developed a decent product that work when and as it should!! your collars have their market others have theirs i myself prefer the traditional leather ones and find bdt make the best. just because you advertise on here it doesn't mean we can't have opinions on other collars and gear!! as for other company's stealing your methods then that shows your doing summat right right in off for a pint this shaking is making typing hard

Cheers I don't make them! The slips I make are a single length of narrow webbing with a loop at each end, nothing fancy, but they work, I don't sell them any more on their own though, except at shows, it's just not worth the messing about for 2 quid. I didn't know that about my website, you're right, just tried to look on my iphone.

You fecking started all this! Fudreek! MONGO so alls well that ends well and after all that SS dont make them you should look into it tho sure they cant be that hard to make??? OR what i think would be a top seller is a double slip where you can hold two dogs but have the choice of slipping one or both dogs??? i bodged one up years ago from an old double slip and basically just clipped a coupling from the release clip to the dogs collar on the right side slip so the left hand could run but right hand couldn't!! and if you wanted to slip both dogs you just used it normally and took the coupling away. hope that makes sense lol. it was handy at times but needed doing properly and making stronger as these were only bedo crosses and even then the one left behind would pull like f**k so in sure my bull crosses after would of snapped it but as usual i lost it
