maktayla 50
I have just been handed a Feinwerkbau sport 127, mk2 in .22cal. It's in very good condition and still fires. I have recently been granted my FAC and I am looking to sell this rifle along with my Werihrauch HW80k. Would anyone have an idea how much I should ask for the Feinwerkbau. Its 25 yrs old, original front and rear sights, leather sling and swivels and case. The only bad points is it has some tiny surface rust spots on the barrell and breech area. Any help would be very grateful Quote Link to post
StevoSmith 147
Cracking old rifle mate.....i reakon atleast £100-£200,on condition prob wont take much to get it perfect either match for many springers nowa days in my eyes Just read again that it has all original sights, bag and sling you couls add another £50 atleast to that mate Edited February 3, 2012 by StevoSmith Quote Link to post
maktayla 50
Thankyou Stevo Thats good news. As I said the only bad points are the little rust spots. They are tiny though. The stock is in pristine condition and the rifle has never been taken apart. I think I should take the stock off though just to check underneath. I have to agree with you when you said it was a perfect match for any springer today. It hadn't been shot in 2o yrs plus and my mate said he had only put around 100-150 pellets through it. He then put it in the case and left it alone. I took it home the day he gave me it and I was immediately surprised how much better it felt in my arms than my Weihrauch hw80K. Far less recoil and very accurate. Thanks for your help. I now have some idea on how much to sell it for. Quote Link to post
StevoSmith 147
If you decide to sell it i want dibs lol....funds permitting....would love to own one....old farmer up road has one he use's for rats and feral's......all original and in mint condition he will never sell though thats for sure.......if pianoman was on forum now he would prob bite your arm off for it lol.....so will many other springer guys Quote Link to post
maktayla 50
Ok Stevo Will definately be selling it soon along with my Weihrauch. The Weihrauch is a far newer model though. Only bought it last August. Seems a shame to take the stock off though, knowing it has never been off. Will have to make sure though everything is ok underneath before selling. Have had my FAC now for a month and want so badly to buy a rifle... The case I have for the Feinwerkbau is as old as the gun and is leather and fleece lined. Got some tarnishing on the brass buckles. The rifle still has the original yellow sticker on it, stating the name and Model No etc. Once again Stevo, thanks for your help Quote Link to post
StevoSmith 147
No prob mate.....remember i want dibs lol Quote Link to post

maktayla 50
Hi Gurtwurtz I had considered tuning up my HW80 but I never really followed it up. I've got .22 rifle and .17HMR on my FAC, so I'm planning on a .22LR and obviously the .17HMR. I know the HW80 is a very capable rifle indeed but, to be honest with you, it took almost five months to get my FAC, I'm a bit nervous now to send it back and ask for a variation on it to include FAC air. It is a good point though and its very strange you mentioned it because I found an old Airgun World at home the other day, and on the front cover it states, 'Sub12ft/lbs Vs Fac. So I'm gonna go home tonight and have a good read of it. I do like the .22LR though, subsonic ammo of varying ft/lbs, I think RWS do a low muzzle energy cartridge, and also its so quiet. Also, ammo is so cheap. Mmmmmm! I don't know now Gurtwurtz, the more I'm writing, the more you have me thinking...........I think I'll stop here and have a think before I say anymore.... I'll probably have to start a new post or take a look around the forums on this one. FAC air vs .22LR. Pros and Cons.......Mmmmm Edited February 3, 2012 by maktayla Quote Link to post
StevoSmith 147
I might know someone who is selling a .17HMR mate but i wont see him till monday....i will pm you if he has if your intrested Edited February 4, 2012 by StevoSmith Quote Link to post
maktayla 50
That would be great Stevo. thanks. Would you happen to know what model it is?? Stripped the Feinwerkbau today as far as I could go. There were some rust spots under there. Couldnt get the barrell off though???? Never mind. Don't knwo a lot about the Feinwerkbau. Gave the main spring a new coating of grease, also a little rub down here and there, its now back together. Took out into the garden and shoots wonderfully. Forgot to mention yesterday, when the rifle was given to me it also had a telescopic sight attached to it. They are Kassnar and all it has on the scope tube is Kassnar 4x. They appear to be 4x32. Got the lens caps with them and they've also been on the rifle some 25 years or so. Have added a photo here.Hope it works... Edited February 4, 2012 by maktayla Quote Link to post
StevoSmith 147
I have spoke to guy and will see him in morning so will ask him then...thought it was gunna be monday but seems he wants to do some foxing tomoz.....will let you know when i get back tomoz.....also that fein looks almost mint mate.....have you oiled up the stock or is that how it was after 2 decades?...........stunning looking rifle for its age mate Edited February 4, 2012 by StevoSmith Quote Link to post
maktayla 50
No Steve, Thats the stock after two decades. He told me he didnt bother with it much at all and eventually put in the case and left it. The stock is pristine. It doesnt have a scratch on it. The case along side it in the picture is the case he bought with the rifle and also where he kept it. Just a bit of a shame about some of the rust spots. Do you think Steve I should be able to get £150.00 for this rifle? If I could sell this and my Hw80, hopefully around £200, should be able to get a nice rimmie for that. Thanks for your help... I have posted images of both rifles Steve. Do you think its a fair price for both?? P.s The Hw80K is the rifle only, I am not selling the scope shown in the picture. higgins 75
PM sent.I think the 177 was a 127 sport and the 22 was a 124,i had the 177 version 25 yr ago,how much you asking for it and where abouts are you? Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 792
Steve, if you don't take that rifle, then I will! What a beauty... And if if you do have it, and then decide to sell it, then I want first dibs Cheers, wurz Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
That's a very rare find indeed, mate The 127 was the .22 version, FWB used funny model numbers for some reason. I had the .177 124 many years back, just before my first coincidentally, and I always thought the Sport felt nicer to shoot somehow than the HW. Lovely old classic that will go to a good home with either Steve or Wurz. Good luck with the sale, not that you'll need it!! Quote Link to post
