FERRETING UP THE DALES

[TOMO 25,993]

Had a good day up the dales today , with nobby and vin,, had 3 runners with us my kelpie cross,, Tara,, my other dog Venus,, and vin had Molly... not much was sat out though in the grass,, as it was a very still, and the ground frozen hard,, i bit to hard for the dogs in reality.

 

a slow start with just odd ones here and there,,, and dig dig dig,, was the order of the day ,all day. but apart from the diging, what a gloriouse day to be up on those hills,, clear skyes, not a breath of wind , and a sprinkling of snow on the tops,,, and in the background,, the grouse were cluking.

 

we did eventualy get on to a few warrens that produced threes and fours.. wich added to the bag,, although getting a good bag up there,,, is a double edged sword,, cos its a fecker carrying them,, theres no drop offs up there..
