CO CHISE 330
well today i thought ide have a hour round farm, this bit of land holds quite afew bunnys, the earth are in hedge rows deviding fields and are a distance from one another where some of the bunnys have to run a fair way across the fields to hit another earth or the woods, i thought it would be bang on for flying hawk at them, well they would of been if the hawk wanted to take them, i bolted a good 8 in a row with the hawk missing them all and even not atempting to go for some of them ? once he missed them he wouldnt attempt to go for them again, he bolwed one over and didnt get a firm grip and then just watched it run of, to be honest i was quite pissed of seeing the bunnys just run of, he did manage to nail one then just seemed to give up after that, is there anything i could be doing wrong, ive been exercising this bird daily and keeping a eye on his wieght and keeping it around 1.8, once i put food on the glove he straight back on to it, the bird follows me like dog, i do find it hard to get him to release his catch even when i cover up his kill and offer him abit of meat, it still takes a while, am i been to keen to get him hunting again ? afew pics but the other bunnys were dug to, Quote Link to post

wayne225tt 2
A friend of mines male was flown for 2 seasons as a pestcontroll bird at pidgeons , he found it hard to start him on rabbit . I advised him to finish every session on a healthy feed on the dummy bunny , which he did for a good 3 weeks . First bolted rabbit after that he nailed no problem and has just finished the season by taking 82 in total . Not saying this will work for everyone Quote Link to post
