bsa ultra multi shot

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a ultra m/s .177 regged , it is a spot on gun . I use it more than the HW 100kt in the winter

THe multis do not jam with the new magazine .Just look at Si pittaway vids and posts on the ultra. A unregged gun will give you about 25-30 good shoots and a regged one 55-70 in .177

Ive had mine 4 months and find it excellent although i did have a problem earlier on with the magazine indexing rod but this was repaired under warrenty. Ive used mine for rabbits for which it has been excellent although i normally use use fac air and rimmy for rabbit work. Main use for the Ultra is rats with my ns200 nv mounted on it. Its ideal as the Ultra is so light and i generally shoot off sticks which makes for very easy shooting. Ive previously owned most decent pcp's in the past but have a soft spot for the Ultra as its such a nice lightweight and short rifle.

There a great gun, but because of jams and that tiny little bit of an accuracy increase and control go for the single shot.

Single shot ok if you dont need quick follow up shots. Ratting last night i shot four rats in a matter of seconds something i couldnt have done with a single shot. The new bsa magazines are also very good, ive yet to have a jam after getting through four tins of pellets.I would say that there isnt any accuracy advantage in using a single shot?

There is not an accuracy advantage, but less chancee of damaging the skirt in loading one by one then letting them index through the mag. Not really more accurate just less chance of a flyer which could wound your target.

also there is no big bulky mag restricting low mounts.

Unless your using a HW100 ofc then you're fine :victory:
