Guest Lurchers2006
I got 5 today on worms and sweetcorn, thats all that they allow but what they dont know wont hurt them, Where could you get maggots? Quote Link to post
Ratcherman 0
try cheddar cheese mate can be deadly on the day if that fails try power bait  Quote Link to post
bshadle 5
If it's legal where you're located, best bait I've ever used is live minnows seined from the waters you're fishing. Helgramites work wonders as well, but minnows don't bite your fingers when you're putting them on the hook. Quote Link to post
Cheshire Poacher 6
power bait is great so i've heard, only seen it in use once but it did work i just stick to sweetcorn though and bread.Another one is pellets quite alot of trout farms rear the trout on pellets so they go crazy for them. cheers c.p Quote Link to post

prohunter 0
Sweetcorn/Bread/Maggots soaked in aniseed or Vanilla essance when you say soaked what do you mean by that dipped in it before you put them on the hook or left in for a hour or two. Hob&Jill 258
try casters (maggots dead and gone hard crispy) then bring a spinner thro them then u will see your bag gettng bigger Casters arnt dead maggots, there the 'cocoon' stage, maggot=caster=fly=maggots etc. Worms or Maggots, put either infront of most fish and they cant resist Quote Link to post
