Simoman 110
Two things, firstly cammo man is damn sexy, secondly i agree with SS, licensing was a huge step forward, i remember the psychos and roid heads that used to work many of the clubs in Nottingham 18 years ago whe i used to go for a drink at weekends. Rock city was a prime example, many were bikers beefed up on roids who were merely there to beat the shit out of some poor sod and get paid for it, saw it many times and remember the worst doorman(loose term) was a 5"10 dwarf who thought he was Van Damme, but only as he half a dozen 20 stone bullies behind him, i got on his wrong side one night and when things weren't going his way his bum chums gave him a helping hand taking me through the fire exit and going to town, so although i dont drink nowdays and haven't been in a club for over 10 years i think its good the thugs have been removed from the doors. How some of them keep there cool with the pissed up plums they have to deal with is beyond me..............

lanesra 3,994
I was in zen nightclub that night the doorman broke that lads back they took him in a separate room and carried the beating on. I agree with strongstuff that it's a lot more safer now! They used to do that all the time mate. It dont make any sense to be like that really, as if someone knew what they were in for you would be looking to really try and hurt them if they laid hands to you.........as it tops up I think someone wound up having a shot at them with a shotgun one night. I guess you just never know who your upsetting so it pays to treat everyone with as much respect as the situation allows you to give. Very true mate , a few doormen give a bloke i know a terrible beating 1 night for something petty which was a big mistake , few weeks later it was pay back time and most off them jacked the door once they seen what was happening , never to be seen again on doors basically bullies who where game when the odds where in there favour i.e. sober and mob handed , your outlook on treating people with respect concerning the situation gets the doorman a good name and respected by most , though there are times when they have to resort to hands on treatment that goes without saying , hearing about blokes beating lads up leaving broken backs ect is sickening and backs up the licence they now need if only to keep gangs off thugs from using the job as a licence to do as they please .
