Colddddddd was not the word.

 

We arrived on the lake at abut 8am, We decided to fish a large bay at the top end of the lake, wind was behind us which made for easy fishing. First fish fell to a popped up mackrel and turned out to be a wee jack of 5lb, not a bad start. At this stage our fingers and feet were frozen, just then my alarm went and a nice plump 10lb'er was weighted and returned.

 

At 3.30 the alarm went again, this time it was aj who saw some action, decent fight ensued and a fine looking pike just under the 15 mark was returned to fight for another day. The day ended really cold and we packed up at about 5ish, headed home and got the heat back into us. Not a bad day considering the weather.

LOL, makes a change to see a pike on the bank, only time I get to see them is im mags, but anothe rtrip is planned for this water, when the temp comes up a wee bit we will lash it, MUDD if ya fancy a trip let me know.
