223 reloading

Hi at present i use H4198 for 50g soft points and H335 for 55g soft points can anyone give me their experiences of other powders for this cal.

I use VihtV N133, Hornady 40gr V Max for Foxes and they are very accurate and devastation when they hit!

 

VihtV N133, Sierra Gamekings 55gr for Roe Deer and they also very accurate do a very good job.

 

Have tried a few powders but VihtV N133 get's my

I use 55g sierra blitz kings vith 133 24.5g a lot of dead foxes.

under 2" @ 100yds here. in all calibres. free standing, or gate post, better at ranges on pod & set distance, 1" under with right re-load

My rifle is very fussy its not very keen on nosler but seems to quiet like Hornady and Berger seems to like the cheap stuff! which is handy !!!.

I use reloader 7 with a 52 grain hollow point deadly round on fox

Oh i like that very good, i have read a bit about the 52 and 53 grain bullets saying how good they are and the reloader 7 and 15 powders proof is in the pudding aye.

They are good, initially I wanted to use the heavier bullets but the barrel twist on my gun is too slow, so tried 55 grain v max then the 52 grain hollow points, and settled with them I traded in my 222 which I wasn't happy about, but feel better now I got the 223 something like, been told to try varget powder, which will get a try at some point

you should try reloader 15 i am told its very good for 223. also H335. what twist rate is your barrel mine is a Sako with a 1/12 twist and it limits me alot.
