Westy76 546
Fred the ferret had his op done yesterday and went well he's in the spare hutch for a week and half before he goes back to the jills. Had a good chat with the vet who done the op and he's a mad keen ferret man luckily and he said his success rate is near 100% and IF I do end up with kits he'd re do Fred at no charge and pay for any cost to me for the rearing of the kits-can't say fairer than that? £72 all in and was really happy with the job,the practice if your around Sussex/Surrey is Newbridge Veterinary Surgery Wharf Farm Wisborough Green Billingshurst West Sussex RH14 0JG 01403 784777 1 Quote Link to post

Westy76 546
Tbh that's the average sort of money as I asked on here prices up and down the country and it went from £35-£100+ so I was happy with the price I paid and especially with the knowledge that the fella knew what he was about. Westy76 546
That was the reason I had him done so I wouldnt have to worry, why's that?? Quote Link to post
terryd 8,680
That was the reason I had him done so I wouldnt have to worry, why's that?? I have a snipped hob and two jills too. But he is kept seperate. I was worried he might rag the hell out of the girls all the time. Plus when I did stick them together at the start he really layed into the smaller jill. She is pretty scared up at the moment. So I was just curious how you were going to work it maybe I should try him in there again Edited February 1, 2012 by terryd Quote Link to post
Westy76 546
Oh I see,he's always been in with them as there last years kits so I don't see any problems really but I'll throw it out there, anyone else see an issue? Quote Link to post
The one 8,513
i run a snipped hob with my jills all year round but there was six jills to each hob . if you only have one or two jills your going to have to watch he's not pestering them all the time as he might mark then up or even cut there necks Quote Link to post
