StevoSmith 147
Thats some question that mate lol First off Canal's are public places so No you carnt shoot on canals Second i believe the season for duck's is now over ended yesterday i think lol If you attempt to do so the armed response and RSPCA will be on you like a shot(ironic really lol) Thirdly i might sugguest doing a little research before posting questions like that lol....not to say you didnt but serious mate any Arm's in a public place is a Huge NO NO Also i would sugguest sticking to the rabbit's....there is lots of them all over the country(ok maybe not lots this years but you get my drift) and they taste GREEEEEEAAAAATTTTTT Also it's a game bird and for that you need a game license You can pick up a silencer and scope from most gunshops mate Best of luck mate and keep it clean ATB Stevo Quote Link to post

StevoSmith 147
Also you cannot use leadshot over our waterways mate its against the law...this will include lead pellets Quote Link to post
lksopener 105
Back to your original question, the proper weirauch silencer will sort you out but they are about £40-50. For the scope a little 3-9x40 such as a hawke sport hd will do you. Expect to pay about £45. Liam Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
Duck is fair game (but only in season and where you have permission). Taste fantastic when given lead poiisoning directly to the noggin Tony Quote Link to post
DaveMack 0
Thanks all for the info . I went to the gun shop today. He said the Silencer i need is £70 ish Which is about [bANNED TEXT]. 1 But he said it would make the rifle too long. and it wouldnt look [bANNED TEXT]? 2 Get the barell cut down and have a thread fitted ?? 3 He more or less said leave it as is rather than get some one to saw the end off. (Sawn off sounds ileagal to me lol) He Said because its a Weihrauch dont mess with it? My question really is. Can the gun be too long. Thanks again Dave. Quote Link to post
DaveMack 0
Banned txt ? Why cant i say right. Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 792
you should be able to put a hw silencer on mate, they do a couple of push fit cans that'll fit their barrels. as to it being too long, thats up to you to decide when its in your shoulder. £70 sounds pretty steep though, theyre normally around the £50 mark. you need to get someone who knows what theyre doing to cut a barrel down as it needs to be re crowned afterwards, and if not done right then will see your rifles grouping like a 12bore... cheers, wurz Quote Link to post
Acuspell 329
Dave, that HW silencer is great, but they are dear. Have a word with Ady at A&M Custom Gunsmiths - phone. They are Notts side, but worth the effort to get there. He'll put you right regards silencers - he makes the TWINK which is supplied to Daystate for their FAC rifles for export. Another thing - if you had the rifle given to you, what power is it at? Have you checked, or had it checked? If a "mate" gave it to you, was he of the kind to tune it up a bt? If so, get ti sorted before you do anything else, or you will find yourself in trouble for having an over powered air rifle. Again, if you take a trip to Ady, he'll put it right for you for the cost of the spares alone. If you want a good, cheap scope I have a Bushnell in the sales section. I didn't put much detail on the sale notice, perhaps I should have! 3-9 x 40. Great scope, retail at just over £100, I was asking £40. Check you have 1" mounts though, you need to anyway, some scopes are 1" diameter tube, others are 30mm. If you get the "wrong" scope you'll have to buy new mounts to go with it! So just buy a scope that fits the mounts you have. Stay safe. Quote Link to post

zini 1,939
For all the correct answers regarding silences and scopes and HW90's Id phone Tony Wall at SFS. If anyone will know he will. Ive dealt with him lots and he is a God on HW springers aswell as alot of other rifles. I wouldnt get my spring rifles tuned and modded anywhere else but with him. Si. DaveMack 0
Thanks. I will message you when i get some dosh in a couple of weeks. if you still have them. if not its ok. I want it sorted for when the bunnies come out. With regard to the power of the rifle, ive no idea, It did go straight through the fence at the bottom of the garden into the field though. (obout 25 feet to the end of the garden). Ive read that you can let the air out with a small nail. Before i try that though, Can you let too much out, and make it less than 12flbs ? Its not hard to cock though. Quote Link to post
