worthy130 21
Zero an inch high at 100 yards and you will be flat shooting at 200 and 1-3 inches low (dependant on round) at 300 yrds 1 Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
Usually 1 inch high at 100 yards gives a decent point blank range. A lot will depend on your round, how fast it shoots, what the BC of the bullet is etc. Quote Link to post
Sako.243 1
Draw round a 10p piece, Zero an inch high at 100 yards!! Quote Link to post
GRAM71 29
also depends if you like dialling in the shot, my swede is zeroed at 120mtrs, most of the foxes i shoot are baited in a particular spot and it's pretty much bang on from 50mtrs, i haven't pushed it further yet as the need hasn't arisen. pipcock 21
i've been out today with 243 to check my sighting in and and i've ended up with it an inch high at 100 yrd seems to suit me ok ,but after shooting from bench and rest i thought i would have a few shots to practice off the sticks, bad idea, its done my confidence a world of good .NOT, the wind got up and i could hardly keep it on the A4 sheet of paper never mind near the bull ,after it settled down a bit i was getting groups within the dreaded 4" circle ...practice practice practice.
