villain1973uk 0
Hi all, Newbie to this site and to shooting, I bought a springer air rifle full power a few weeks ago and been practising in my garden and getting alot better, anyway I have been looking on YouTube about shooting and seen huntersvermin videos and think that hunting rabbits looks so much fun, I'm even thinking of buying an s400, I'm joining a club Sunday too, anyway back to my point, I live in great Barr in Birmingham and was wondering if anybody knows anywhere that allows people on their land to shoot?, if not how do I go about trying to get permission? As I say it looks so enjoyable and I really want to get out in the country and have a hunt. Cheers Lee
BEARINATOR 2,872
Welcome to the site, go out and knock on farmers doors, stable owners and any land owners. You will get a few knock backs to start with but keep knocking and you will eventually get a Yes . Before shooting any live quarry make sure you are competent at shooting the bullseye of your target at the ranges you intend to hunt at, good luck in your new hobby mate

villain1973uk 0
Thanks for all the advice, looks like I've landed on a good site here with very helpfull people, yeah I won't go shooting live targets until I'm sure I could hit it in the sweet spot as not only not fair to the animal running off badly injured I'd feel guilty as hell, once again thanks all for advice appreciated, and for the welcomes. GazDavison_91 14
You've just got to be persistant in trying to obtain permissions. It might not happen straight away. There will be more no's than there will yes's! All the best, Welcome to the sport!!
