train my new pup with real rabbit skin??

Check along the country roads for a fresh one, skin it and nail it flesh side up on a bit of wood and cover in salt, leave for about 10 - 14 days and remove the salt. You then have a rabbit skin dummy for the price of some salt and a few nails :yes:

i wouldnt let her rag it about mate else she will wanna play tug with the rabbits she catches which can be a pain in the ass.

 

i got my pup one and taught him to retrieve with it ect never allowed to play tug or rag fur though

 

ye that does sound right mate dont think ill let her tug it haha thanks

As one post said above use it for retrieve training, I wouldn't encourage any rough play with the fur as when it gets older your probably find your have one hard mouthed Lurcher when it gets older, and good luck training that out of them.

While it's tha young you wanna get it connecting with forming the all important Bond the more it trusts you the harder it will work when older get the basics in now mate sitting an recall good luck anyway I'm down the road in Merthyr if you ever dancer a day out
