chook1 184
If she fit an healthy and is gaining weight/growing etc - then i wouldnt worry. I wouldnt give her oxo, as its high in salt and can cause damage. you could try some raw meat insted of one of the dry meals and with the soaked dry add a small amount of wet food something like natures diet or wainwrights (pets at home sell). If shes the only dog you have then that can sometimes be whats wrong, some pups can be picky and fussy when they go in to new homes, especaly if they've had to compete for food with their siblings. We had a sproillie who was like that she didnt eat proper for 5 days, we got another pup and she shoveled food down her neck. My beddy x is very slow at eating and hardley eats anything - shes around 18 months and with the amount she eats by rights she should be underweight, but her weight is fine and she has energy to burn. LucyLurcher 3
All our pups are started on scrambled eggs and raw beef mince, gradually adding in soaked biscuits. Eventually we feed them on biscuits with cooked minced chicken & juice (water chicken is boiled in). Until they're adults we do leave food with them all day. They don't eat a huge amount in one go but bowls will be empty after a few hours (they only have little tummies to fill). If she's fit and healthy don't worry. You're doing well to ignore her winging, thatll be the whippet in her.. ;-) Atb Quote Link to post
