Bream

It was a difficult morning on a small local pond today, the rain just wouldn't let off but an early start really paid off when i caught this lovely tench on red maggots, not sure of the weight maybe 2-3 pounds, but it is definitely the nicest and biggest fish i have caught since starting angling over the christmas period.

Another thing, no one catches very small tench, say under a lb

do they not feed on stuff bigger then bloodworm until older?

The only place for a bream is nailed to the side of a tree.....Carp fishermans nightmare...nice tench tho

sorry mate but when you bag 50-60 7-8lbs bream in 1 night u soon forget about the carp!

just done a few hours on the local canal that holds some decent carp would have been a very depressing blank had mr 7lb bream not taken a fancy to my corn and boilie hook bait. i love the snotty feckers at this moment
