lurcher330 2,297
Went out with Dublin Dezzy saturday morning to try a few earths on some new permission,we found a few earths but nothing at home in them ,we walked this land for a few hours but ended up with nothing ,so we got back in the van and decided to trawl the area and ask a few farmers for permission ,we got a couple of no and a few call backs during the week when the ewes are in the sheds and a few not at the moment with the dogs because the ewes are too heavily pregnant ,but we got one that said yeah work away but do your best not to worry the sheep, and he pointed us in the direction of some heavy cover where he had seen a fox that morning so we collared up D.D bitch and let her work the cover and with in a few minutes we could hear her baying in the ground just on the edge of the cover along the fence,we had to make a bit of space before we could get in to start digging ,but we did and got a mark on her at .8 right under at tree 'we stat digging and got down to some thick roots ,and while we where trying to get through them we heard a crash in the cover and then seen a fox come out a few yards down the dtch and run straight out into the field with the sheep so we just let it run ,we didnt want to piss the farmer off by letting the lurcher run through the sheep ,she wouldn't bother them but they don't know that 5 Quote Link to post

lurcher330 2,297
Most of the time the lurcher would be loose and she would off mate light work of it in this field if she had got it out in the middle but the farmer asked us not to have the other dogs loose so she was tied up to the fence but she nearly took it down when she seen it run across the field Quote Link to post
