old timer123 367 Posted January 29, 2012 Report Share Posted January 29, 2012 yea you can,any deer that is a danger to the public,ie knocking over fencing and letting sheep out on to roads can be shot at night.and a land owner can use a 12 bore to kill deer if it is causing damge to property,also you can track deer after dark with dogs and lamps. YE CAN ONLY SHOOT IF YE THE LAND OWNER OR ITS AN INJURED ONE YE CANNY HUNT EM AT NIGHT SO IT SAYS IN THE 1991 DEER ACT lol ye can only track a wounded one after dark we one dog so am told?? you can use two dogs to track deer that have been wounded. thought it was one bud a stand corrected cheers for that sam... hey dezzy recons im old bill lol lol Quote Link to post

However, I wish folk would think twice before putting up statements and pictures of those facts that may add fuel turn certain fires. The deer act states that deer should not be shot within an hour of sunrise and sunset. yes they can be tracked with 2 dogs if known to be injured and dispatched appropriately. They can also be shot after dark if are damaging fencing. If munty are damaging fencing to that extent, shoot the bloke who put the bleeding fencing up.
