Good luck with the pup and imho it was worth the journey to get a dog out of tried and tested stuff.

Cheers Del.

Your dead right Del all this "if only you was closer" rubbish, if you want a dog with good breeding then there isn't anywhere on this island thats too far !!

Ive done 91/2hours there and 91/2 back.To pick up a pup. Is that black whippet x going a begging now?

Your bang on about the pups mate, real out going and bold and full of confidence, a credit to the guys who bred them.Just goes to show that theres real genuine guys out there that are willing to help out in any way they can.

Good luck with your pup for the future, maybe one day we can give them a run together.

Best of luck with your pup Johnny, I've enjoyed reading about Don's exploits on here, it's only a internet forum but I think the lads involved with these dogs come accross as some of the most genuine on here, I'm sure the pup will do you proud

No name as yet, I'm leaning towards Bron which is Welsh for "fair chested" though my daughter wants Gwen or Megan, the missus likes Fly and my 4 yr old lad wants her to be Batman. :D A name will fit her personality in the next day or two, I was going to call her Donna. :D

It took me age's to think of a name for my little pooch and after several name change's i came up with a name that suit's her temprement which was Lil and it's short for little shit because that's all i seem to say to her.. :D

Full minshaws when dons out of a full border collie how do you work that one out

i dont get it either surely if a very collie blooded lurcher is put to a full border collie then the pups would be about 3/4 border collie?

Toby..it's just a name-tag they carry matey..they carry the blood from the dogs that many call the pinnacle of the Minshaw dogs in "Blue"..i can't see the problem myself? Is it any different to lads calling their dogs "saluki" lurchers when they more than likely ain't had a PURE Saluki in their blood for umpteen generations..same as Bull x's..i'd like to hazard a guess and say the majority are 4/5 generations away from the last time they seen a pure yet EVERYONE still calls them em do they not? Why all this nit-picking keeps cropping up i do NOT know..these dogs have what was like i say Blue of Minshaws not to many steps back if you get my drift? They are LURCHERS/CURS call em what you will at the end of the day? They serve a purpose and ain't to bad at what they do just like most jukels should be capable of doing hopefully? ATB Andy.

Toby I don't get it mate you're a coursing man so I assume its ok for some of these lads who win a match in September with there dogs at 18 months or so, then come November they're charging anything from £500-£1000. Apparentley the young dog that was runner-up to Fly in the recent Forley final is already up for stud for a decent cash infusion.

Don's a youngish dog BUT is being tested and tested well, he's also a dog that has a do or die attitude, so imo its a wise move puttting some blood from him on the ground.

So I ask you Toby is it ok for one arm of the lurcher game to do one thing but not others???????

Or is it ok for certain people to do one thing but not others??.

Not directed at the guys who bred the pups as what they do is their own business, what boils my piss and I would imagine a lot of other peoples is, were this someone else studding a young dog they would be shot down in flames by certain people on here who are now on this thread and a previous thread back slapping, congratulating and generally blowing smoke up each others arses regarding the mating and pups produced. It's the inconsistency and two sets of rules that's the gist of it here.
