StuCarr 0
So after years of borrowing gear and shooting with friends I finally got my backside in gear and applied for a SGC. The pinned post at the top of this section was very useful, so thanks for that. Cabinet is installed and looking sad with only my knives and a foam dart blow pipe inside! Forms went in last Monday and I took great care with them, attached the cheque with a paperclip and left the 4 photos in a card mount. Hopefully my attention to detail will impress and i'll get a visit rather promptly. Fingers crossed! Quote Link to post

chris1wg 24
any one know how long it takes in south wales swansea area ?? Quote Link to post
maktayla 50
Hi Chris. I live in Merthyr and come under South Wales Police. Applied coterminous last August and didn't receive my Shotgun and Firearm cert til Jan' this year. Took approx 5 months. No criminal record or anything like that. FEO came and seen me around October. It was such a frustrating and long, long wait. It could have been that I applied for both at the same time. Fingers crossed yours wont take that long. Its worth the wait in the end though. Incredible feeling when you get your cert through the post. Quote Link to post
