tegater 789
I’ve been working away in Wales for the last few weeks, and have a few more to go, but I am on day off today, and came home for the weekend. I made my mind up I would go out with the ferrets and see what was about. The boys were at school today and it’s the beaters shoot tomorrow, so it was going to be a day on my own, rather than with lads, who are great company, and went to school very reluctantly. Driving to my permission, the car thermometer was saying 1 degree outside, and visibility was poor on the tops, but ok lower down. I decided not to do the main warren, as I was on my own, and netted up a small 12 hole bury in no time. The action came fast and within 10 minutes I had 4 in the bag. Next I moved onto a larger bury, but what I thought was about a 30 holer, turned out to use 46 nets! The jills went in, and again the action was steady with one flush of 3 coming out all at once but into different nets! 13 rabbits out of this bury, with again no losses, and no digs, the ferrets just moving around freely. Finally moved onto another 15 hole bury, and took another 4 out of that one. By now the rain had turned to sleet and snow, and was getting pretty miserable. 4 hours of good sport, 21 bunnies in total, and no digs. Travelling back over the tops, the weather was pure snow and the moors were thick with it, and the gritters were hard at work trying to prevent the road closing. Ferrets checked over and fed and watered, nets hung up to dry, and a nice steamy brew of strong sweet tea. Time to pick the kids up, and tell them all about it!! Ha! 2 Quote Link to post

tegater 789
Nice numbers Tegater, a lot of the warrens you ferret seem to look exactly the same. Must be the lie of the land. That's because the ones I do the vids of, and these today are one of the same. This place has quite a few warrens all within about 2 acres. I,ll get some pics up sometime of different areas I ferret, but they are the 3 and 4 hole burys with not so many bunnies. They just do.t make as interesting reading or pics. Quote Link to post
