Acuspell 329
Get in touch with Adrian at A&M Custom gunsmiths. He has BRITISH, high quality springs made to suit any spring rifle. If it is .177, don't try and take it over about 11.5 ft-lbs, you will only end up blowing the skirts on most pellets and accuracy will go down the drain. You do not need extra power, my .177 AA custom is running at bang on 11.4with AA fields and I can hit Swan Vesta heads at 35 yards with it - there is enough power in that pellet at 11.4ft-lbs to kill a rabbit stone dead at 60 yards (probably more) BUT you have to hit in th eright spot, so accuracy is more important than power. You already have the power. My Theoben taunus (gas ram) 20 cal is only running at around 11.2, but it still knocks down anything I hit with it. Again, because there is already plenty of power there. Any additional power you have is useless if it doesn't hit the target - 1000ft-lbs won't put anything in the game bag if it only hits dirt! So forget power and go for accuracy. Quote Link to post

Totally agree - with airguns, power means very little. Accuracy is everything. I had an FT tuned tx200 quite a few years back and it was putting out a very consistent 10.5 fpe. It was supremely accurate and the bunnies never complained about the power level Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
why dont you go on airgunbuyer, blackpool air rifles and see if you airgun is specicfied in the V-mach kits, the guy who tuned webleys i think "venom tuning" is the same guy but it went bust, so i believe anyway, but the kits arent all power power power, its too make it smoother , quieter and more consistant..i think there about 60-70quid with DIY instructions too..atb Quote Link to post
