Just make sure you rinse the bottle out well. The method has never failed me, and it only takes a few minutes. Just remember to wash the bottle out well Quote Link to post

Also breed birds and I add Avicleans to their water- I think its 5ml per litre. Prevents the growth of algae, mould and toxins building up in water containers. Try a bird shop or online vet site. Ossie 11 Posted April 24, 2007 Report Share Posted April 24, 2007 handful of small gravel, stick it in & shake it round with some water. i keep a little pile of stones next to the sink, and clean the bottles every few days. covering them works, just don't forget to top the bottles up regularly!
