Got dropped off with the 2 terriers at the keepers house about 9.30, quick bacon sandwich and coffee then headed for the first sett. Collared both up and checked the batteries before slipping the dog in a fresh 1 holer, after about 5 minutes we got a mark at 0.9 so I set about with the spade and after a bit dirt lifting I broke through to a nice dog fox bottled up  . The keeper dispatched number 1 pheasant killer with the .410.

So a quick check over of the dog whilst the old man did the back filling and headed to spot number 2, a nice size bankside with a good bit cover. Tethered the 2 terriers up whilst we checked for any new holes but we and the greyhounds didn't find any so the bitch was let loose and she eventually settled on 1.4. Started off easy then started hitting rocks and that :censored: but after a good bit of hard work we broke through to another dog fox which had gave the bitch a few nips so the keeper shot that as well.

Decided on a few sandwiches and some caffeine after washing the dog down in the stream and back filling. Then we decided to give the terriers a bit cover work bolting to the 12 gauges and any rabbits were getting ran by old Glory and cor-Tina 16 valve  . Terriers were going mad from the out set pushing a few rabbits out and the old bitch catching 5 and young Tina only getting 2, she must of known we need her at the weekend :boogy: .

Another cup of coffee each then our 3rd spot to be checked a nice little dip in a field with a 3 holer in. Left the bitch in the back of the trooper and set the dog away, what seemed like seconds but was probably a couple of minutes seen a vixen bolted which the old cnut keeper only clipped the back end of so the greyhounds were sent to find it which they did, old Glory ended it's suffering instantly :D with young Tina coming in a close second. So a cracking day at work was had by me and the team, getting my pay at the end of the month is nothing when I get to see good dog work :victory: . Sorry lads no pictures were taken as the keeper I was with is nearly 60 so I like to do the spade work and he does the shooting
