socks 32,253
Ive done a fair bit of work with the malinois and as I have said on here before they are not a dog for a novice and really don't make a good pet their drive is immense and capped with an intelligent brain makes them a challenge if not kept constantly busy. There was a malinois in the kennel thAt had damaged his foot and could not be worked and had to have kennel rest the dog was so bored and wound up that it chewed the end of its own tail off. Their small build disguises the power these dogs hit you at as mate found out when one hit his sleeve so hard that it fractured his wrist. For a guard dog you won't go far wrong with a shepherd from good proven lines and I don't mean show shit.
