bob.243 8,755
Have the CZ American 16", excellent. Quote Link to post
markha 99
Got the 455 varmint thumbhole 16" barrel, less than 1 " groups all day long, head shot rabbits at 180yds, nice action, better trigger than the previous versions, multiple shots with warm barrel and still on the money, comfortable stock, shoots great off a bipod or off the wing mirror. I love it Quote Link to post
The Duncan 802
I think it's down to personal preference and taste as much as anything. I've used cz's but had a bad experience with a varmint in .22. Can't fault my Weihrauch HW60J. Perfect trigger out of the box, one hole groups out to silly ranges. Beautiful stock too. The cz is more functional, still very well built and just as accurate, probably Weihrauch is twice the price of the cz - give or take and I think this also has a bearing on it's popularity. Maybe try a couple if you can? You can hav a go with mine if you're close enough bunnyslayer. Cheers Duncan. Quote Link to post
mark a l 27
I had the same problems when i was looking for a .17hmr ... was going to get a cz .. but i did not like the look of the trigger guard so decided to splash out extra £200 and get the sako quad .. very happy with my choice Quote Link to post
pipcock 21
I ended up with the CZ American Varmint 452 16"..... trigger not as good as the 455 but a £10 trigger kit sorted that ,cant fault it 1 Quote Link to post

shootist 0
I have the Browning T-Bolt and I love the feel and reload speed. It's pretty accurate too - a good rifle for the money. Quote Link to post
liongeorge 7
If you can afford it go Sako Quad or Weihrauch . The CZ is good and functional particularly the 16" version great out the vehicle but they just haven't got the quality. Another thing worth bearing in mind is that IMO a .17 really comes into its own with a decent scope on it, in an ideal world you would be spend the same if not more on the scope. Deker 3,478
You will never NEED anything more than the CZ, some just like other rifles. I don't like heavy barrels, others do, what leads you to the Varmint? My HMR Silhouette Quote Link to post
