Bedding isn't just about heat it's also about comfort. A dog that has had a hard day or night running needs a soft surface to lay on to help relax the muscles and avoid injury. Can't be comfy to lay o

I've got a shed run set up it depends if you want to separate dogs or not ie if you've got same sex and if dogs get on I'm lucky I only keep bitches and that get on so mine is very simple square with flap for entry to the shed heat lamp + I've cut a 205 plastic drum in half to sleep in it's clean and keeps them off the floor + no need for messy bedding hope this helps mate

Never put the dogs away wet socks if you do bedding or not thay will be lying in wet the bedding will get wet as for comfort plastic holds the heat + the heat lamp is always on after a good nights graft that sorts the aching muscles out mate atb donk

i use shreaded wax paper with a layer of shavings underneath it dont get wet the water runs off and is soaked up by the shavings
