FIBER OPTIC BEADS ON SHOTGUN'S.

Recommended Posts

I like them. I find the one on my beretta so bright that you end up not looking for it. That said the plain brass one on my Hilton is no hindrance- maybe as I've become more experienced with shotguns the bead has become less of an issue altogether.

Next time I get chance I'll have a go with gun without a bead.

whats your opinion on them? think i might take mine off, just draws my eye's

straight to it.

If your talking about this one

I think its main use is for correcting your eye dominance,it should only attract the eye which is looking down the rib of your shot gun, heres a link to have a look at it will explain it better......

i personally thought they were brill when i started shooting because i shoot off the right shoulder but i'm left eye dominant so it helped me loads.

If your talking about another sort then ignore the above   .pipcock

ps,also good in low light ,duck shooting etc

Yeh I've not got fibre optic but I've got a mid rib bead which makes me want to line the two up and shoot like a rifle.

I was always tought to not look at the barrel of the gun but to look at the target.

no worries moocher,as long as the gun fits ok using it left handed and the dominant eye is looking down the rib you should be ok ,you dont need the bead ,and shooting game etc can be totally different to shooting clays,i know a lot of decent clay shooters that cant hit birds .... pipcock

ps....good idea moonlighter ,block the light out and see if theres a difference....
