new pup

hi all,well on saturday i collected a fawn four and a half month whippet bitch she was extremely shy at first but she is completly different now shes retrieving well and her recall is spot on im really happy with her but the only thing is she has never been on a lead so every time i try her on it she sits and just wont walk on a lead any tips ?

try walk her with another dog . . . or try give a little treat an work her up that way . . . atb

if u have got kids mate let them play with the pup on a lead works for me or while u are watching let the pup drag the lead round with it but make sure u dont let it out of your sight atb rj

Tempt it along wit and as said above put it on n let it wander out in the garden should b fine after a week or so a couple if wee bits of chickenn

the first time i took my pup outside and she didnt really get what was happening, all you can do is try and coax her, keep talking nicey nicey ie good girl etc, and just always praise her if she walks forward, it worked for me
