Whippet's are bunny dog's anything else they take is a bonus and shouldnt be expected regular imo

From a purely aesthetic view ,if there is a finer sight on God's green earth than a whippet in full flow behind a hare ,then I haven't seen it .

the Whippet Coursing Club must have been wasting their time for 5 decades, should of asked you before they formed   The answer is yes they can and yes they do have enough stamina and no they dont ca

They havent got the stamina for big winter hares...

The answer is yes they can and yes they do have enough stamina and no they dont catch as many as other sighthounds

i dont believe that whippets dont have enough stamina...pound for pound the fastest sighthound, and their chests are deeper than most lurchers used "to catch regular" , for their size, i have no doubt that a whippet will catch hares regular, more than most lurchers,. down to speep, turning ability and a big chest for quick time recovery, in my opinion !

A lot depends on field size , terrain ect , on the right ground the Whippet will regulary catch them , and on the wrong ground they will struggle where a larger sight hound will excel , horses for courses as they say , a Whippet can NEVER BE CLASSED AS A HARE DOG as thats not the purpose off the dog but they will definetly do well fit on the right ground , i think there is more too these speed machines than some give credit !

Morning, taken a step back from quad bikes and hounds - Don’t need the grief anymore. Having moved house my country has changed, curious of those that do hunt the hills with their lurches and a terrier at your heel, how do you bring them on? Getting the right dog for the job is no brainier but what about the training? Thanks.

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect
