Guest thebigdog
I have heard reports of roe deer in N.IRELAND and in wicklow in the last few years. I haven't come across any but there are a few muntjac muntys were introduced a couple of years ago, supposed to be doing well establishing themselves. there's no roe that i know of, there where years ago but where all killed off. Out of curiosity, who the **** would want to introduce Muntjac and why, don't you guys have laws about non indiginous species? Muntjac will eat anything in the woodland and are likely to cause more damage than any other deer! they were introduced to hunt, illegally. there's a year long open season on them too i think Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
Muntjac breed all year round, so there's no point protecting them for any part of the year. The situation is the same in the rest of the UK. Quote Link to post
