armchair _hunter 5 Posted January 24, 2012 Report Share Posted January 24, 2012 twice now ive seen deer in a stubble field, first time there where 5 but i had no binos but the mate thought they where roe, i seen them again today in the same field but had the binos with me, there where 3 this time, two adults and a juvenile all very dark brown in colour, no antlers, and white arses, im in northern ireland and have done abit of research which states roe do not exist over here? any ideas? thanks Quote Link to post

I haven't come across any but there are a few muntjac muntys were introduced a couple of years ago, supposed to be doing well establishing themselves. there's no roe that i know of, there where years ago but where all killed off. Out of curiosity, who the **** would want to introduce Muntjac and why, don't you guys have laws about non indiginous species? Muntjac will eat anything in the woodland and are likely to cause more damage than any other deer! Quote Link to post
