Rake aboot 4,935
Winchester super X subs Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
Just like airgun pellets, your gun might not like the same ammunition as someone elses rifle, even of the same make/model. Buy a box of a few different bullets and see which one groups in your rifle. Stick to the subs, for all sorts of reasons. Eley, Winchester and RWS seem to be fairly good, CCI and Remington not so good. I know most people seem to get on well with the Winchester super X 40 grain hollow point subs, and that's all I use. matt_hooks 188
Depends where you are mate. Around here they're about £5.50 for a box of 50. I know some guys pay less, some more. I bagged a bargain at the CLA game fair, 500 rounds for £40! Quote Link to post
Simonrees 45
I bought 100 Winchester Super X 40 grain hollow point subs today for £8.75 compared to CCI HP Subs @ £6.49 Quote Link to post

mattydski 560
as long as the squirrels are on the floor.. . I'd recommend Winchester 'x' subsonics. Quote Link to post
tanktfb 2
hi mate i find that cci 40gr hp subsonic are an excellent round for rabbits and seem to be extremly accurate in my old bsa semiauto out to about 75 yrd .But as FULL CHOKE says its best to get a few different makes and see witch is better suited to you and your rifle as ammo varies in price so you need to try and suit your pocket also A.T.B LEE Quote Link to post

Britishbull24 131
Iv tried CCI subs, RWS Subs, Winchester super X and Remington up to now through my CZ 455 Varmint. The CCI's are very good, The winchester are a longer hollow point and i liked them on rabbits. The best for me though were the RWS Subs. Very smooth and very accurate. As for the Remington i wouldnt have another box given to me! Iv heard the ELEY Subs are very good but havent got my hands on any yet. Like the guys have already said, Buy a few boxes of different rounds and you will find the right one for you and your set up. Quote Link to post
