go2ground 152
Thanks for all the positive replies! Just had the nans dog over and little george is grabbing him by his cheecks, will he grow out of this?? At eight weeks old if he is tempered anything like the ones I keep he is going to to be a little demon...Meaning he probably wont be to paticular on what he latches onto, other dogs, your hands ect....Some dogs are more tolerant of puppys than others and when they have had enough they usualy give the pup a correction , sometimes the older dog will go overboard so you cant leave the pup unattended while playing with the older dog...Also if he does give you problems gnawing on your hands all the time you can shove your finger into his throat far enough to gag him and after he has experienced that a few times it is usualy enough to break them of that bad habit... All the best with your new pup... 1 Quote Link to post

lurcher330 2,297
Well done lad hope he makes ye happy. I remember getting my 1st dog to hunt with ,i was around 6 or 7 a little patterdale x dog ,he would come everywhere with me without a lead or collar even used to run under the road cart while we where out on the horse, but he got me into plenty of trouble chasing cats up into the engines and any other dog that came onto the road had to deal with the little tyke ,when he wasn't with me he would sit out side the house as if he was guarding it,the whole area knew little billy and i think there are still some dogs that carry his bloodline around the area ,no bitch in season was safe LoL. he died when i was 21 but he had a good life.come to think about it i could write a book about the little shit Edited January 24, 2012 by lurcher330 1 Quote Link to post
