  1. 1. What do you want Ian B to do with the site

    • Leave it as it is, most of the members make me feel good about myself
    • Delete all the non posters and morons and stop guests from being able to view the site
    • Delete all the non posters and morons, stop guests viewing the site and only allow people to join if they can be vouched for by a member
    • Leave it as it is but do a mass clear out of morons and non posters

my changes would be.

guests:- should not be able to view full site!!

just because you donate it shouldn't mean you are able to sell on your 1st post / topic. (you should controbute to the site 1st x amount of posts or x amount of reputation)

newbies must be recomended (but really cant see this happening)

there should be a iner forum for the members that know more.

pictures are as bad as admiting to illegal activity in somewhat, so posters should get strikes / warned if posting photo's that may put even more light on the hunting scene.

theres loads but all in all ianb and the other mods seem to be doing a good job, and im sure this could be alot worse,

added>> anyone that has joined and hasnt posted in the 1st week / month that sould be booted

gender / location / photo / about me should all be filled out

I would like to see guests being unable to veiw anything other than an automated "your not a member so you are not allowed to view this topic" message. I would also like to see habitual troublemakers

Neither of the above for me.   I think it needs a good clean out, but i have never liked the 'having to be vouched for policy' that way forums become stale.   Many people who start hunting don't d

I tried composing a long, considered reply but then realised that my feelings on this subject could best be summed up with.....                       ......meh.

FFS Is this site the be all and end all to some folks.

not at all but avrage topic has 20 posters 15 different people posting so lets see you try and get 15 people like minded people in 1 place with as much experiance as some of the lads and lasses on her

How about...... if you dont like the site......then find another one!

I dont have an issue with non posters, they do no harm to anyone. If they can do harm, then that is probably because the poster has posted something they shouldnt have done!!

I do have an issue with those that only appear to post critiscm of they way others do things, or when found out to be wrong they somehow twist things around to make out they didnt mean what they said!

Someone has to take control of the site, and that for me is the un enviable position of the mod!

1. If you delete all the messers and trouble makers there would only be the moderators left.

2. Deleting or banning members will only get rid of their posting name, they can resign up very very easily again, as some do and have been caught out.

3. Concerns for the site with regards members and their input has been left by the roadside a long time ago. A tight ship would see a lot less members on here, but alot less appealing for advertisers and the like.

Let the reprobates say what they want to say and post what they want to post. When the big hand of the law comes tugging on their collar for armchair hunting, watch how quickly they soon lose interest in the site then. Let them police themselves. The usual disclaimers, as im sure Ianb has in pleace, he or moderators hold no part or share the same views posted from forum members. They aint the ones that will get in-to trouble.

Just my humble opinion of course.

I've a good idea, just don't post bull shit....!!!! or answer it for that matter, and if you think a posts wrong then have a debate

not a fooking full blown hissy fit....

To be honest i've been on this site a good few years, seen good members come and go as well as the messers,

i just don't post alot now, as i couldn't be bothered trawling through pish... or stupid replies,

simple as that if you don't like a topic move on to the one that you do...

SIMPLES>>>>

How about just using the functions in place already, don't like what someone writes or think they are a moron.hit the ignore button, then you wont need to read and get yourself in a state. As for the illegal inuendos that some folk think they need to get posting.thats there look out if they wanna get unwelcome attention they won't come knocking on your door or watching out for you.no matter if this site was policed 24/7 nothing would change the mind of the lacs or antis.in there eyes we are scum.you need to learn to accept this fact.

Guests do nothing, they cause no harm...

Making it vouched for members, prevents genuine people wanting to interact with others and share there hunting days impossible if they don't know anyone..as some members I have met and taken out will confirm..

What is it that people need to hide from if there doing a legal activity.... or are people foolish enough to believe that if a forums registered, vouched for members only they can go ahead and post what they like safely??

gender / location / photo / about me should all be filled out

I disagree with that bit, for many reasons including privacy and security

It has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else, where you live or what you look like, it would add nothing to the forum.

one of the other forums i use regularly emailed all members saying that it was having a clean up and if you wanted to stay an active member you had a month to reactivae it via a link they sent you and that got rid of alot of the members who had joined and not made any posts,

i also agree that forum should be locked and you have to be a member to view posts etc.

Location (I'm in Wrexham, which is a big place so don't mean jack)

Photo (I never said it had to be of them, I just said put a pic up)

Profile photo usually means a photo of yourself.

If you want to tell the whole world anything about yourself, then carry on, it is your choice, just as it is the choice of other people to be private....which is not much of a biggy either is it :D
