Born Hunter 17,832
I cleared a few sheds of ferrals for a farmer whos land holds a hell of alot a rabbits, thinking i would get my foot in the door and then ask for the rabbiting all of which would be a mere formality.......................... dropped by to check how many pigeons I had missed and ask about the rabbits to be thanked greatly for nailing all of the pigeons and be told that he already has a couple of lads doing the rabbits that come from 50 mile away!!!! getting 60+ rabbits a night with their f*****g rimmies!!! He didnt want to upset them by giving me the ferreting, GUTTED!

Rake aboot 4,936
Born Hunter Gutted,, but not surprised I bet! So basically the farmer has saved around 150 quid by getting you in to clear a feral infestation, Like I said,, They are a pain in the arse,, he KNEW exactley what he was doing before giving you "permission" to shoot the ferals mate, Taking a f*****g liberty ,thats what that is,, but don`t worry. it`s happened to us all

Just for the change? One gripe of mine is people who control vast amounts of land and dont have the time to get around them all. Unless your retired or unemployed there is no way you have the time to get around them and control the vermin. Maybe the golfcourses, huge fleet of chicken farms and the farm in the middle of now where is enough for one man. They then moan when the farmer gives the permission to someone else. Best of luck with finding some new land. Richard
B.P.R 2,798
Spoke to a lady off another site about her rat problem, she mentioned she had rabbits on her land as the farm next door aswell- then mentioned she had horses and one needed re backed...... Got myself some ratting sport with a mate ( I don't rat), some 'untouched' ferreting permission and my missus has got a horse she can ride when suits. Result!
