Whats the best terrier?

What do you guys reckon is the best all round working terrier? patts plummers lakies? and also [bANNED TEXT] got some pics of some good plummers?

any good WORKING strain of patterdale/lakeland/russel type are your best bet if you want a terrier that can do well at the all the tasks of a working terrier.IMHO.

you get good and bad in all breeds, a good dog is not a bad colour, find a working strain and thats half the battle, but no guarantee.

doesnt matter what colour it is or what breed of terrier it is i agree some terriers are harder than others ect but i always say its what you show them and how you bring them up some people dont agree with me butt thats my opinion

i have one kc border and another one that i got

from an old hunting chap up morpeth only payed

100 pound for her no looker to the kc dog

but she is 10 times the worker he is.

she is a hard little nut

here's my pup,just bought him last week from a working strain,i have no doubt

he will turn into a good worker,he is border/lakeyXNuttall,if you are buying a dog for work

make sure it's from a working strain first,then select the type of terrier you want,you won't

go far wrong if you do things this way,my pup is seven weeks old,already he is entering an

artificial earth i built myself(not deep)and he is ripping my hands to shreds!

yeah i noticed he looked more Border in his face,but i'm hoping the Lakeland/Nuttall influence

will balance it all out,he is a watcher at the minute very observant and listening to everything around him

just hope he wants to get going earlier than a Border usually takes to get going!

i agree with c/hunter i own j/r terriers one of them to hard or thick for his own good but dosent matter on breed depends on the dog

Other thing if you buy a pup from tested parents,You can't gaurantee the pup will make the grade at earthwork.

 

thats what i say not having a go at higgins but people think if its out of working stuff it will work its not the case i know alot of lads and the best terriers they have had is street corner dogs.
