soft bits gone mate,its taken the guts out I would suspect a badger, probably disturbed,at the time suprised it left the back end,

Dont forget the marks on the neck ,could be from the snare its in,

i've said , puncture marks on the neck, look at the snare ,its got a stop fixed to it

i did moll ,nothing to see, if it was a fox there would be bite marks and broken ribs, there are none.

there are no badgers in the area, the water table is to high , saying that ,one could have walked on ,but i doubt it.

Just a guess but could it have been an otter? They do travel overland and do eat flesh other than fish. The rabbit has had it's backbone severed that would indicate an animal with powerfull jaws, mink possibly but I would think that is beyond a polecat or simular sized animal.
