Ideation 8,216
Vin - that is my exact ethos mate, and very true words indeed! Teg - Cheers matey, but its on the cards. I have already decided what to do next though and will get the relevant training needed done before my current job ends, so hopefully i should be able to step straight across, and funnily enough the new job leaves me even more ferreting time Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,936
Nice one Jai. A day in the woods is always good. I do like that dug oh yours as well,, the wee bugger looks like somebody grafted on 6" extra on his chest !! Its almost scraping off the ground !! hahaha. ATB mate Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Cheers Rake Never a dull day in the woods with my mutt matey You are right about the chest, he's pretty much just back legs and lungs He's one driven little b*****d, hits cover hard and works through like a terrier. He's learning the lamp well also, just had him out now and and he made some great catches, but then hit a piece of metal sheeting in the hedge flat out and cut his face a bit, so we're back home. In the house, he is the best dog i have ever had, loyal as hell, loving, quiet, good gaurd etc. He's my best mate Quote Link to post

Tyla 3,179
Sorry I've missed this thread, it was great to finally meet up Jai - I have no doubt we'll do it again sometime soon. It was a nice morning out just a shame that, yet again, real life interfered with a decent days hunting! On the point about travel i disagree with you Cookie, the different types of terrain and the way they vary the sport are some of my favourite things about hunting. I'd far sooner put the money in the tank and go visiting than just keep to local ground, the dogs in particular benefit far learning different ground. The reason I found this post so late is that I've been out on a lamping invite from another member since yesterday, 120 miles well spent in my opinion! Quote Link to post
