rat smoker help

have adapted a strimmer to use for a smoker but tried loads of times now and it just does`nt bring them out smokes going down the holes but i very rarely get one out i know they`re down there as dog gets hyper when she smells something, any ideas ?

not loads but enough to see it coming out of the other holes and smells pretty bad but when i put loads of oil in a different time it just choked the plug up and wouldnt start

try adding a bit more oil mate that might sort it

Just make sure your not killing them below ground.

try starting up your smoker , put it down the holes until you see it pouring out of all the holes and then dig along them. ts easy to keep track of the hole that way coz of the smoke. you'll get to some before you kll them!

Put the smoker on the deck while its running too the vibration can shift them too.

just been on a ratting invite usingsmokers and it was great sport what i noticed was sometimes the rats didnt come out straight away but several miutes later they were appearing at the hole gasping for air so the other replies are correct in saying you could be killing them beforethey can bolt

i found that too i built my own smoker outa a chainsaw with flexable hose gets anywhere but we were killing them before many bolted but plenty will bolt and ya get good sport

Fumes will bolt em, or kill them, the smoke tells you were the runs/holes are.
