Guest Ditch_Shitter
As ye further up north mate, ye may be able to still locate a real Butchers. One who buys huge lumps of carcasses and butchers them (Down south now they're just cut meat retailers, by and large). Find a Butcher and ask him for Breast of Lamb, Ox Hearts and Tounges. That's what I feed my crew on. The Lamb's full of fats which'll keep ye Lurker bouncing off the walls with energy. But go very, very easy on it with ye Rottie, else he'll become a porker in no time. Couple of fistfulls a day should do him. Ye'll have to train ye mind and will not to believe ye being evil and load his bowl up, else he'll ballon up like Shelly Winters before ye eyes. Trust me on that! Active young pup? Well, I give my JR almost as much as my older Bull X bitch. She's got a bit too much middle age spread, the older one. Pup races around the place all day long and is lean as a whip and disgustingly energetic on it. Probably feed ye pup anything up to a couple of good handfulls a day, long as it gets bags of excercise to burn and transform it. Cost? Don't even bother to consider it. Ye could be on the dole and still afford that stuff. Human grade too. Because if ye don't buy it for ye Dogs then someone else will buy it for their dinner. Good tip is simply not to tell ye butcher it's for Dogs. Stops them starting to try and palm ye off with less nice stuff. Some will

shepp 2,285
I buy frozen tesco value chicken portions and mince them so i can mix in some veg, with her being unable to pick out what she wants, in fact she now quite enjoys veg. I use cabbage, carrot, turnip, brocolli and peas all of which i cook and mash up. I portion it up meat and veg seperate pack it into my used take-away plastic boxes and freeze it. When i feed her she gets 3/4 chicken 1/4 veg half a hand of mixer and half a tea spoon of vitamin powder. I also give her lamb bones and breast of lamb a couple of times a week, raw tripe from the pet shop mixed with veg as before and small tins of sardines in oil twice a week, chuck in all the oil for her coat. Hope it can give you some ideas and direction to go in which suits you. Shepp
