Trev Smilerface 38
Just got off skype with a fella i met in Italy. I met his brother too, both doing shaolin kung fu. His brother just died from a tooth abscess. Unreal, had heard of it before. Two genuinely nice fella that did a good display of kung fu. Seems the poison from the abscess got into the blood and it went from there and killed him. Shocked. Ive had abscess before in the past and they do make ya want to bang your head againt the wall. So if you got an bscess dont messabout with it.....go get it checked and get treated.
Malt 379
Spot on mate. Long term tooth abscesses are also linked to a variety of health problems including heart disease & arthritis..

Could well be pal. The infection spreads out from the original point of infection and starts to dissolve the bone around otherwise healthy teeth.. It's the reason I had a tooth out a few months back, even though it wasn't giving me any real bother..

Couldnt eat or nything for a couple of weeks till the swelling in my throat and my tongue had gone down. May just be an abscess but by christ it can lead to more srious things if not sorted. As for using dog antibiotics dont know if they work on an abscess or not. May start feeling abit wuff wuff :D
nod 285
i had 1 few weeks ago, went to dentist she gave me anti biotics, went back 2 weeks later to get a root filling done and it hadnt cleared up, the injection didnt numb my mouth because of the infection, she then got a stronger injection and went down the side of my tooth, that absolutly killed, my eyes were watering, but numbed it in seconds, the tooth doesnt always have to come out, but dont leave it get it done soon as, 2 dog tabs wont kill it i was on 500mg anti bio for 7 days

Once there's a cavity between your tooth and jawbone, it'll always be there even if it's not always infected & causing you grief.
