dogvixen01 34
i would like to have an honest opinion of these doublers from people who have actually used them ,both good and bad as i was thinking of getting one.what has made me a bit sceptical is i have had an e mail off someone who used one and he said it was good for rimfire and airgun.but when he used it on his 223 he had problems with poi change and did not know if doubler was moving under recoil or if it was parrallax problems.i was planning on using it mainly for hmr .thanks for looking. stuhlschuter 0
Hi dogv ,,, I have a doubler that I use on both a 17 and 223 . I do not have a problem with POI on either gun However , there is a POI difference when the doubler is installed . I made a removable mount for the doubler after reading various posts about the doubler coming loose . The difference in clarity after the installation is quite remarkable . Hope this info is of help to you . ATB George
dogvixen01 34
thanks for your reply .so what you are saying is if you zero a gun in without the doubler fitted and you decide to fit one later , it will mean that the gun is going to need to be re-zeroed to cater for the poi change . what sort of poi do you get l -r u-d or both.do you have a picture of your removeable mount that you could possibly send me..thanks and all the best Edited January 19, 2012 by dogvixen01

fizzbangwhallop 2
Stuhlschuter...... That's neat n tidy! The problem of the adaptors moving on recoil was raised on another forum some months ago and a lot of people found it difficult to judge the right amount of pressure to the mounting screws to prevent movement. Some of them overcame it by gluing the adaptor in place on the 'scope!! If you use silicone seal at least you can get it off if needs be. atb FBW
stuhlschuter 0
I was mainly trying to avoid a warranty issue if a problem arose when I made it . That lordlardy fellow supplied a great deal of inspiration and information . I will resize some of the pics and post tonite after I get done shoveling snow .
