NOOK/ANNA 96
As title says could anybody tell me what is in the make up of a Tumbler/Norfolk Type lurcher. Is it a strain someone has/had or is it just a name/label that someone has given to any broken coated lurcher to make a few extra £? Quote Link to post

Sherlock 42
Just found this snippet first appeared in shooting news 1987 ish written by Margaret McFarlane a librarian by profession. I think Ms McFarlane wrote this piece straight from a book. The Tumbler, a type which as received a lot of attention, was adog for all seasons, which compasseth all by crafts, frauds, subtilities and deceits, we English men call " Tumblers": because in hunting, they turn and tumble, winding their bodies about in circle wise, and then fiercely and violently venturing upon the beast, will suddenly grip it, at the very mouth of their receptacles or closets, before they can recover means to save andseccour themselves. It will take in one days space as many conies as a horse can carry. Cheers Sherlock . PS, I want one, and can anyone sell me a horse. Quote Link to post
