This is a travellers fight that took place in dublin last year, as a settler between two families.....the keenans are from cork and i know well and a big family that ive done business with in the past. Give them there due they go have a fair fight and them shake hands afterwards. Not all the time but mostly.

My daughters getting there 8 years old and won silver medal in the world karate championships in turin last year. Starting my little fella boxing this year he's 4 and the club he's starting at theres a fair few good boxers there.....travellers and settled folk. Think it gives them discipline starting them young.

Fair play to him goldfinch. My boy wants to start kickboxing but unfortunately the local clubs wont take him till he's 6. I train him and my daughter at home so when he starts he'll be fairly handy to start with. The daughter if she keeps at it should be black belt by times she's 11-12. I started karate early and then went onto other forms of martial arts, currently doing krav maga.

Hope your fella keeps at it mate.

4 :icon_eek: ... Stone me !! and i thought our ol fella started us young......

Personally i believe anyone getting their youngsters into boxing should steer as far away from this gypsy stuff as possible.....if you wanted your lad to be the next Beckham or Rooney you wouldnt take them to watch sunday morning pub football you would want them watching and learning from pros...........same applies to boxing......Its a beautiful sport but set them off on the right foot would be my advice.

No i dont mean its a gypsy run boxing gym. Its a properly controlled boxing gym. Its a club that Gary Spike Osullivan is part of. And no i wouldnt be ltting any of my kids get involved in unlicensed or bare knuckle boxing.
