Tayto 52
a waste of money if you ask me, i propper grafter is more useful! Have you used them much? Its alot easier to send a bar down four or five feet to find the tube. Quote Link to post

Bryan 1,362
Frightening to think guys are fully reliant on electronics/microcircuits/batteries to find a terrier. Shocking 1 Quote Link to post

MOO 730
I honestly cannot think of useing one apart from tie the dogs to and surely they can only be used in soft stuff Quote Link to post
Grinder 102
Excellent tool for listening to what young dogs on there early digs are doing...mute /sounder/mixer you can hear it all going on.... Quote Link to post
MUDD 374
I honestly cannot think of useing one apart from tie the dogs to and surely they can only be used in soft stuff Yeah they are handy for tying dogs up too. Not at all heavy and can be used on most types off ground not just soft. Ripstop as for weight thats not an issue, unnecessary excessive force could result in harming the dog, if you know the depth indicated by the box your hardly going to be bouncing on it when you know you've only a few inches to go. Only a fool would do such a thing. I Wouldn't leave the house without one myself personnally, not that I always bar in on every dig but for deeper digs they do help you find the tube. Bars were used well before locators so you can't really knock them. Edited January 17, 2012 by MUDD Quote Link to post
Ripstop 89
what i meant mudd was a reply mentioned a bar, i presumed it was a digginv bar so that is what i meant by accidents, with the weight of one like the exca quik, etc. obviously a t bar would be used for find/locate the dog. p3d 879
Excellent tool, probing for a tube, tying out, clearing back cover, an all purpose tool. Gives a clearer understanding of what is happening below ground before breaking through,i.e. digging on, holding mid tube etc.. Stainless for ease of cleaning and to stop corrosion. 1 Quote Link to post
