Just picked terrier bitch up 15 month old..out of dogs well know the bitch is white the parents produce only white dogs with black patches.

apprently the white started with a a litter of 6 terriers all black, and 1 white pup, bred out of black dogs, this white terrier was kept back by the breeder an was put to bitches as he turned out a formidablle earth dog, he was put to bitches with very similar breeding. the out come was a strain out white fell terriers wich orignated from black terriers?..

many people heard of this?

ill get picture up of bitch tomorrow

DFK, plenty of lines of Fell Terriers have always thrown the odd white pup, read Plummers book and it'll tell you. Most of the lines of these white (Fell type) terriers we see today where purpose bred in the 80's and it wasn't with work in mind... That said and some will graft, after all, they originally came from working stock. ;)

my mate was speaking to a man the other day who told him that his black bitch had a litter of 3 pups, 2 jack russells and a patterdale he said !

Sounds Funny, but that's exactly how they will be viewed by other people

get a black dog, paint it white, what do you get. get a white dog, paint it black, what do you get. funny how people say a patts not a pat if it aint bully. but some dogs come bully with no known bull blood known. just shows there can be allsorts in the dogs past. some wont touch white stuff. why not? paint it black bet they would. that comes to sort of kennel blindness.
