That's sad: more likely the owner has realised that he/she is just not the enthusiast they thought they were, or had a nasty shock and a run in with plod? Just a thought. Could even be that the dogs have chased stock, or any number of reasons. The fact that both bitches are young sometimes also implies that the owner wanted to get into lurchers, dived in and then realised that there were more problems than he/she though when owning a running dog. Tempted to ring and find out, but they said no phone calls from people wanting to chat  Quote Link to post
birddog 1,354
seems sad the two needing homes but they're from good stock someone from here might take a wee chance on one of them, must say although i'm a big fan of the collie x i have a soft spot for a deerhoundy type and a wee touch of deerhound in the mix can help an alrounder, someone mentioned their feet..... my 'belle' gets hours of walking every day and i cant get her up on her toes, she has big wide feet that seem really strong and her grip is great as she can turn tight her nails need constant attention which i think is down to her diet which has lots of bones in it and the way she walks. she almost glides over the ground hardly putting her weight down, but she is showing signs of maturing and catching rabbits well even though she knows the big wide spaces are where she was born to run 1 Quote Link to post
baldockbanks courser 598
People make a lot of assumptions from a few words in an advert. Some very wise people that can read others minds and thoughts. Quote Link to post
